The GE Fanuc IC660EBD101 block is an electronic low-leakage I/O block and it belongs to the GE Genius I/O series. This module runs on 115 Volts AC and it is designed to interface the discrete actuators and sensors in a system to a communication bus.
It features 8 matching circuits rated at 115 Volts AC, with each circuit usable as an output or input. Some features of the IC660EBD101 I/O block are bus switching module control, output powerup defaults, and pulse testing for output. It also features monitoring for the output feedback, a selectable input-filter time of 10 to 100 milliseconds, and an output hold last state or default feature.
This block taps its control power from the I/O device voltages connected to the terminal and it requires no separate source of power. Each circuit has electronic fusing that is intended for shutting down the circuit in 5 microseconds when the output current surpasses 30 Amps with the output in the on state. This circuit can be restored by a command through the CPU or a hand-held monitor.
